PLEASE HELP.
MY MAGELLAN CAR GPS DEAD AFTER USING NON BRANDED CHARGER.
IS THIS THIS NOT ADVISABLE OR ITS A BATTERY PROBLEM.

Using non standard chargers is probably the problem. If the battery has suddenly become sogged since using this charger then it may have done more damage than you want to know about.
Was it the correct polarity +ve Tip? was it the right amperage?
Magellan are specific in recommending you only use their charger and with reason, its correctly made for it.
You can try the new battery angle, but get advice on the charger.
As a small note.. Car chargers do NOT fully recharge batteries in GPS. Use an AC or USB charger. The car charger is a maintenance power supply. Always fully charge the unit prior to use and do not plug to car power until engine has been started.
These are standard rules with all non hard wired GPS and phones.
