Flywheel
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Procedure is mentioned below:-----
4.2L Engine
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
- Remove the clutch. For additional information, refer to Clutch R&I in this section.
- Remove the bolts and the flywheel.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.) in a criss-cross pattern.

- Remove the 8 bolts and the flywheel.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.) in the sequence shown.

- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
- Remove the Transmission. For additional information, refer to Manual Transmission R&I in this section.
- Remove the clutch pressure plate and disc. For additional information, refer to Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate in this section.
- Remove the bolts. Install the guide studs.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the reinforcing ring and the flywheel and ring gear assembly.
- Remove the guide studs.
To install:
- Install the guide studs.
- Install the flywheel and ring gear assembly.
- Install the bolts.
- Remove the guide studs. Install and tighten the bolts to 93 Nm (69 ft. lbs.).
- Install the clutch disc and pressure plate.
- Install the transmission.
