how to remove radio out of 2001 mitsubishi eclipse

  • Disconnect the negative battery cable with the pliers. This is a safety precaution that will prevent shock.

  • Remove the two Phillips screws on the underside of the air conditioning and heater control panel in front of the shift knob.

  • Grasp the bezel above the center air vents. Pull it away from the dash and unplug the connection behind it. This will expose the radio and its mounting screws.

  • Remove the four Phillips screws to free the radio. Pull it out slightly, then unplug the factory wiring harness.
