How to remove hvac module on 2003 Pontiac Aztek

Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side


    Object Number: 318200  Size: SH

Remove the push-in retainers from the IP insulator to instrument panel.

Remove the press-on retainers from the IP insulator to dash mat.
Object Number: 318203  Size: SH

Unsnap the IP courtesy lamp from the IP insulator.
Object Number: 318200  Size: SH

Remove the IP insulator from the instrument panel.

Blower Motor Replacement

Remove the right side instrument panel insulator. Object Number: 295327  Size: SH

Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.

Remove the blower motor mounting screws.
Object Number: 295331  Size: SH

Remove the blower motor from the HVAC module assembly.

Now there you will see the HVAC module holding screws.Remove the screws and module should be out.-------

  • Remove the push-in retainers from the IP insulator to instrument panel.
  • Remove the press-on retainers from the IP insulator to dash mat.
    Object Number: 318203  Size: SH

  • Unsnap the IP courtesy lamp from the IP insulator.
    Object Number: 318200  Size: SH

  • Remove the IP insulator from the instrument panel.
    Object Number: 295327  Size: SH

  • Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
  • Remove the blower motor mounting screws.
  • Remove the blower motor from the HVAC module assembly.
    Object Number: 295302  Size: SH

  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor assembly.

    Important: Only loosen both of the forward blower resistor assembly mounting screws. The blower motor resistor assembly mounting holes are slotted.

  • Loosen the forward blower resistor assembly mounting screws.
  • Remove the rearward blower resistor assembly mounting screw.
    Object Number: 295304  Size: SH

  • Remove the blower motor resistor assembly from the HVAC module assembly.


  • AND beside there youb will see the screws to be removed for HVAC module.-------
