The warning light comes up due to error code stored in system.The power steering or its related part is not functioning and due to this control module does not detect it and warning light coms on.
Gt the vehicle scanned.
Before that try reset procedure.
You can try to reset the battery by touching both the power and the ground cables together just make sure they are both disconnected from the battery when this is done . If this does not help you need to check the faults in the system you may have aisle with the power steering control module which is build into the steering rack as one unit .
