Dodge Magnum Get Over Warm Inside And All Windows Steam Up

Dodge gets very hot inside while driving

The Actual Issue:

2006 magnum, windows will suddenly steam up after 10-15 mins of driving. It feels very warm then hot inside.
Got coolant system pressure checked and all is good, carpets are dry, it gets worse if the dial is changed to dash vents from screen vents, could the heater core leak only when hot?

First We Will Confirm If The Heater Core Is Faulty OR Not?

If the system was pressure tested and held ok, you don't have a sweet smell coming from the heater and aren't seeing a residue on the windshield then the heater core should be ok. If the heater core was leaking then you should smell the sweetness and it would normally leave a slightly oily residue on the windshield after running defrost.
If you notice any of such symptoms in your vehicle, then yes heater core is issue.

But, If There Is No Such Thing Noticed Then?

You almost surely have a broken re-circulation door, not uncommon on these cars. The re-circulation door is what opens and closes to allow air from outside or inside flow into the heater box.

But how Will This Door Break?

The door is plastic and can eventually break where the actuator engages it, then when the actuator attempts to move the door it can't.

But What Is The Role Of This Door,What Happens If This Door Breaks?

Its Very Important Part Of The Heating And Cooling Control for The Vehicle System.
If the door breaks in the recirc position then it will cause the windows to fog up because of the trapped humidity in the car. It will get worse when you change to vents from the defrost position because changing from defrost turns off the a/c compressor, which comes on in the defrost settings to help remove moisture from the air.

Ok,Got It,But How To Remove Or Access The Re-Circulation Door?

There are two procedures,i will explain both.

First process is  remove the glovebox door. Now you will find the right side of the heater box and on top there is an opening where you can see the recirc door. The section of the heater box above the recirc door can be removed and the door replaced through the glovebox opening.

The replacement door will come with this section of heater box.

Second procedure. If you want to do it through the glovebox opening you can remove the new door from the section of box and just sneak the old door out and the new one in.

Which Is Better Way and Which Is More Easy?

Both are easy and simple.
The correct way to do it would be to remove the steering column and then roll the dash back for full access. This is obviously more work but definitely makes it easier to get to. I've done the repair both ways and it ends up taking about the same amount of time overall. So it's up to you, which you follow.

This details Will Help.
Thanks.
