2001 Ford Taurus: Heater Not Working?

Heater not blowing Hot Air.
In this case first inspect the Heater hoses.

Are both heater hose getting hot at the firewall with the engine fully warmed up?

both hoses are getting hot at the firewall then its not a heater core flow issue but instead in most cases caused by a bad blend door acuator.

This car model uses Electronic Air Control buttons on Control model.

To confirm the Blend door issue, there is a procedure to follow:---

In order to know if the blend door acuator has failed we need to start with running the self test on the AC control panel with the engine running.

To enter the self-test, press the OFF and floor buttons simultaneously and  then press the AUTO button within two seconds.
The display will show a dashed  line in the center of the climate control display window of the integrated
control panel (ICP).
The test may run as long as 30 seconds. Record all DTCs displayed.
The self-test is completed when 888 appears in the center of the climate control  display window of the ICP.

If the Error code is 024 051 025 then its faulty blend door Actuator,.

Those codes mean the Blend door acuator has failed and replacing it should correct the problem your having.

024 025 Temperature Blend Door Failure or Short.
