Automatic transmission, with no reverse?

The gears will engage forward and run in drive mode,but no go in reverse mode.


First thing to do is make sure that all the shift linkage is good & transmission is being shifted into reverse when you move selector to "R".
After this the pan needs to be removed to make sure the manual shift valve is moving in the valve body.
This problem can be a valve body problem,input hosing assembly stuck in applied position, reverse clutch assembly,worn or broken.
